	Union Square Competition co-design with Bill Greineder, 1997 This proposal for the redesign of Union Square, in the heart of downtown San Francisco, removes the existing planter barriers around the park to open it to the surrounding street life. Hard and soft-scaped ovals in the center of the square provide spaces of flexible use, bordered by an earth-bermed café.
